After killing
Post production & AD - This music video was created as a commission for the band The WOW Factor and their record label, OPM Records (New York).
The video explores themes of loss, anger, and revenge. To enhance the mood and narrative of the clip, I used a deliberate contrast between slow cuts and rapid transitions. This dynamic editing style was designed to reflect and intensify the emotional journey portrayed in the video.

Ijzer in mijn aderen
Post production & AD - This short film tells the story of a boy whose mother is diagnosed with cancer, leaving him suddenly on his own. With his parents going through a divorce and his father’s new girlfriend, whom he deeply dislikes, he finds himself truly isolated and forced to care for his mother.
To emphasize this sense of loneliness, we chose to film the entire project with an extremely shallow depth of field, creating a visually isolated and intimate atmosphere. Additionally, the editing was intentionally paced very slowly to enhance the film’s weight and somber tone.
Our goal was to evoke a feeling of heaviness and draw viewers into the character's emotional experience. If, at certain moments, you feel compelled to check your watch, we consider that a success.

Tarn VS Saar trailer
Motion graphics & Post production - This trailer was created for a crowdfunding project designed to evoke nostalgia for the shows once produced by BNN (Bart's Never Ending Network), particularly its iconic "versus" format.
Unfortunately, we were never able to bring the project to life, as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted our plans just before the campaign was set to launch.
For the trailer itself, we decided to create a parody of the official F1 2019 game trailer. The goal was to appeal to two audiences: those familiar with the original trailer, who would appreciate the humor, and those who hadn’t seen it, who could simply enjoy an intense and exciting trailer on its own merits.

spoorweg
Post production - This video was created at the request of my Philosophy and Art Criticism teacher from the Film and TV School I attended.
For years, this teacher had been working on a personal art project in which he created an abstract model of the city of Zwolle, centered around its railway tracks. The model was constructed entirely from old wooden orange crates. He also collaborated with various local artists, including gravity artists from Zwolle, who contributed their work to elevate the project.
Eventually, I was invited to be a part of this project to create our own version of a long-running NPO format, titled Spoorweg, within his model. For the video, I opted for a playful style, incorporating game soundtracks from titles such as Fable, Tonic Trouble, and 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue, to set the tone and enhance the experience.

Roest Racers
Post production - This video was created as the graduation project of a fellow student and very close friend, Ronald van Essen. The concept was meant to be a blend of Top Gear and the BNN Versus format.
Initially, Ronald planned to edit the project himself, but he encountered difficulties and ultimately reached out to me to collaborate on the editing process. With only 48 hours left before the deadline, we began working with 12 hours of footage (including recording the voiceovers) to edit it down to a final product of no more than 20 minutes. The result, in my opinion, was a relative success.

Voetbal ster woezik
Post production, DOP & AD - As a second-year student, this video was a small project I took on to earn a bit of extra income. It was part of a recruitment campaign for a local girls' football team in Wijchen.
Interestingly, we filmed an actual match for the commercial, where the girls' team we were promoting ended up losing quite badly. However, with some suggestive editing and intense music, we managed to manipulate the footage to make it appear as if the girls had dominated the boys' team in a decisive victory.

Talitioah BTS
Post production - This behind-the-scenes video was created at the request of a fellow student and close friend, Kaylee Meijer (from Okay Media). For her graduation project, she was making a film on a scale rarely seen at our school, which included extensive world-building with her own language, script, and culture.
Initially, another person was assigned to create the BTS footage, but they were unable to meet the required editing standards. As a result, I was asked last-minute to take over the project.
With only five days left before the premiere and 40 hours of footage to work with, I was faced with the challenge of editing a professional-level BTS video within a very limited timeframe. I ultimately chose a montage style inspired by the golden years of BNN to give the video its unique character.
